Mark your calendar! The 38th annual Charleroi Little Great Race 5K run and walk is set for Sept. 6 at the Charleroi Chamber Plaza, near Trustees Park. Festivities begin at 7 a.m., with the race starting at 8:15 a.m.

Pittsburgh, PA (February 22nd, 2025) cfsbank, headquartered in Charleroi, PA braved the icy waters at Acrisure Stadium for Special Olympics Pennsylvania Polar Plunge this past Saturday in Pittsburgh!

Kelly Moore, Business & Community Development Officer with cfsbank and Team cfsbank Polar Plunge Captain, gathered a group of plungers to join her at the stadium. Together they raised $16,650 for Special Olympics Pennsylvania.
“I created this team because I believe in the power of community. The Special Olympics is about inclusion, perseverance and pushing past limits, and that is something we should all stand behind.”, Kelly stated, “This wasn’t just about jumping into freezing water- it’s about making a statement that we support these incredible athletes and the opportunities that they deserve. This team rallied behind each other and brought out the best, offering inspiration as we celebrated every dollar donated to our team!”

Our cfsbank crew had the opportunity to help Santa pass out over 200 treat bags to the children. It was a successful event filled with Holiday and community spirit!


Our Southpointe branch was happy to help Santa this year! He left them “Elf Tags” with the needs and wants of Canon McMillian School students. Our branch donated gifts for 21 tags and collected a total of $540 towards those families in need!

Thank you Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce for partnering with cfsbank to create the Women in Leadership (WIL) Series this year, 2024. Our last event for the year was held on Wednesday November 13th 2024 at Nemacolin Country Club. This was a special event celebrating our female veterans. Everyone wore their red, white and blue to honor those women. Diana Irey Vaughan, President & CEO of City Mission, was our keynote speaker for the 180 women in attendance. This SOLD-OUT event included lunch, networking, and approximately 22 vendors from primarily female owned businesses. City Mission was our featured charity for this event. They received a $500 monetary donation from cfsbank and guests were encouraged to donate personal care items. Thank you to all who participated in the series from the vendors to the attendees. Shout out to our Connellsville Branch for their generous donation to The Greater Connellsville Toy Drive benefitting children in the local area!


Our Connellsville Branch is helping their community by donating new blankets to the Care and Share Boutique of Connellsville Area Community Ministries. New and gently used blankets are being collected to distribute to residents in need this winter.

The Athene Club of Charleroi, which is celebrating its 120th program year, welcomed seven new members to the organization at a recent meeting and announced plans for its jubilee tea which will be sponsored, in part, by cfsbank.

BIG NEWS!!! cfsbank is proud to announce that they have partnered with Black Bear Sports Group, Inc who recently acquired Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon, PA property. Working together, we have renamed the facility. The facility will now be known as cfsbank Event Center!

Our Connellsville employees volunteered at the first Free Connellsville Holiday Dinner with food by Sparks Catering. Over 250 take out dinners were prepared along with 800 sit in meals!! Sponsored by Connellsville Community Ministries.

Our cfsbank employees volunteered at the Salvation Army in Washington! Our employees helped the Salvation Army volunteers wrap all the gifts that were donated for Christmas. What an amazing event!!!

Our Rostraver Branch donated to the Rostraver Township Police for their Santa Cop program which aims to help at least 350 Belle Vernon Area children.

Our Washington Branch donated to Trinity North Elementary School for Santa’s Workshop. The money will be used for students who don’t have money to shop. They also donated gift bags, tissue paper and wrapping paper.

Our Connellsville Branch gave a generous toy donation to the Greater Connellsville Toy Drive!!

Our Southpointe branch is honored to provide some cheer and happiness in the true spirit of giving. They hosted an Angel Tree and the gifts went to their local elementary school this morning!

cfsbank is a proud sponsor of the Belle Vernon Area High School and its marching band! Marching band is a well known extracurricular activity at the high school. Their equipment trailer was in need of renovations inside and out. These updates will help keep the students and their equipment safe while also boosting morale with a new graphic on the outside. cfsbank is honored to help with this project.

May 7th, 2021. Sage’s Army, Inc. was founded in 2012 by Carmen Capozzi following the death of his son, Sage. It is a local nonprofit located in Greensburg, PA that strives to raise awareness about addiction as well as provide information and support to families. cfsbank is honored to be able to help them in their very worthy mission. Our donation will enable Sage’s Army to provide much needed laptops to some of their staff.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone that participated in the recent food drive benefiting the Greater Washington County Food Bank. It generated $3,000.00 in cash donations and 20 large boxes of food! We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our communities.
