Stuff A Bus Campaign

cfsbank, headquartered in Charleroi, PA is pleased to announce that they are once again partnering with Charleroi Area School Board Director Thomas Nutting and the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF) to collect school supplies for the Charleroi Area School District with a “Stuff A Bus” campaign.

Schools are a vital part of the community,” said John Gill, President and CEO at cfsbank. “As a local community bank, it gives us great pleasure to be able to give back and help the school district in any way that we can.”

Each year cfsbank partners with Charleroi Area School Board Director Thomas Nutting and the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF) to collect school supplies for the Charleroi Area School District. During this year’s planning phase of the project, Thomas Nutting mentioned that due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the school removed all of their water fountains and replaced them with water bottle filling stations.

“Many families are facing hardships due to the pandemic,” commented Thomas Nutting. “And purchasing a water bottle could be a financial burden for some. That’s why it is such a blessing when organizations in the community can step up and help during times like these.”

The water bottles are red and black with a white Charleroi Cougar logo on them. Every student will receive a water bottle with their name on it on their first day of school.

The “Stuff A Bus” campaign kicked off at the cfsbank Charleroi Branch, located at First Street and McKean Avenue, on Wednesday, July 15 and will run through Thursday, August 20th. cfsbank has set up a large yellow school bus in the lobby of the branch where members of the community can drop off donations.

According to Nutting the most sought after items are: glue sticks, post it notes, colored pencils, washable markers, folders, three ring binders, rulers, hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes, Kleenexes, white boards and white board markers.
